Yes, I was also there to watch and learn, but because I was there as a volunteer, I mostly worked myself silly. There were two things I got to do that I wanted to: read a part of my novel in front of other writers, and pitch to targeted agents. Both endeavors went well, and I'll be blogging about my experiences over the next few days. Just follow the link to my journal if you want to read about it.

Nice to meet you, Jill! Yes - tired is a good word for how I feel too. Though energized somehow also fits. :) My introduction to the world of writing is only about a year old, so this was a conference to mostly watch and learn. Saturday I focused on the writing craft, and Sunday on the world of publishing/promoting. Most lively was the panel with Maynard/Lara/Gold, I think - did you attend that one? Maynard's got some fire, no?

I'd love to be in touch - I'll skip over to your website later in the day and see what you've been up to!

I just found your blog by searching Blogosphere for references to the SFWC. I was there too and I AM SO TIRED. What panels did you attend? Did you read from your current work? Did you network?
